Happy Labor Day Weekend

I figured it is about time I posted again. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I am trying to make a garden cement leaf with a rhubarb leaf before they dry up. This one is in my friends lawn. Mine won't be that big, darn it. When I get one made I will have to post a picture. I think I am going to have to try again. Don't think I covered the leaf with enough cement.

Apple Roses

It has been raining here, and if it is not raining then it is so humid that I can't work outside. I haven't made the apple roses in awhile. Something I can do inside and stay cool. I sure don't want to clean!!

Snapping Turtle

We see snapping turtles once a year. When they are looking to lay their eggs. This one came up from the water into our lawn. Last year one was on top of our mound system.

Garage Sale Heaven This Weekend

Every year a church in town has a huge garage sale for 2½ days, starting Thurs afternoon. I went then, it is so packed. It is huge. I got 8 wool sweaters, a vintage Fire King casserole dish and a few small items for just under $6.00. Today I went to a sale, I got two big boxes of Christmas garland, the good stuff with wire not the floppy stuff for $5.00. She gave me two wooden crates and two vintage apron patterns for free. So glad I stopped because I almost drove by.
