Keeping Ahead of the Game

I finished this sign tonight. I am in at least one show in the fall. I am TRYING to have all my stuff done,so I am not racing to get it done days before hand. Surfing all the wonderful blogs with so many things I want to try, never enough time.

What I did on my day off

I dyed these eggs using men's silk ties. The ties were not as easy to find as I thought they would be. I went to 3 thrift shops looking for ties. I found 3 ties at one. The other two didn't have the silk ties but I did not walk out empty handed.

Skipping Out of the Thrift Shop

Here is my finds for the day.All for $8. The bassinet is in great shape. The beaters were a buck apiece.
I did get some wool sweaters and wool skirt, too. The bassinet is big, don't know for sure where I'm going to set it. I'll figure that out later.

Defeating My Purpose

I started my decluttering. I had a brown paper bag full to take to one of the thrift shops I go to. I came out of the thrift shop with two bags. Made myself stay home today. I was going to a thrift shop in another town today, talked myself out of it. Worked on the wool mittens, wool sweaters are getting harder to find. I do have plenty to work with.

New Year, New Decade

   I HAVE to declutter my craft room. Too embarrassed  to post a picture. I know it will take awhile.
For the new decade, I will keep it organized. Something I haven't done it the past decades. Hoping that I will keep at it because it is in writing here. Need to paint my downstairs livingroom by next Christmas, too. Wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

First Snow Storm of the Winter

Here is a picture of the edge of our woods. First big storm of the winter. We got alittle over a foot of snow. I did make it to work, one of few. I don't mind the snow, I hate the blowing and drifting. Then it will be bitter cold.

Christmas Wreath

Today we got our Christmas tree. I get to put all the ornaments on by myself.Where are my kids when I need them! House still isn't back in order.  I made a wreath out of glass ornaments,some vintage.Had to take the picture outside, otherwise it was too dark.
